Whole vehicles, the equipment that charges them, and the parts that keep them running. The difficult part of this trade has never been finding the vehicle.
China is the largest exporter of electric vehicles in the world, and a large share of the buyers entering that market for the first time discover the real difficulty only after the vehicle has sailed. A car that cannot be homologated, registered or insured in the destination country is not a bargain at any price.
This line is organised around that problem rather than around the vehicle. We source the vehicle and assemble the compliance and documentation package alongside it, so the two arrive together instead of one chasing the other.
A car that cannot be registered at the other end is not a bargain.
The thing that goes wrong
Passenger cars, light commercial vehicles and buses, sourced new through the manufacturer or an authorised channel, in a specification the destination market actually admits.
AC and DC chargers, charging cabinets and battery swap station equipment, specified to the destination grid voltage, frequency and connector standard.
Onboard chargers, controllers, DC to DC converters, wiring harness, high voltage connectors and thermal management parts.
Internal combustion vehicles and the aftermarket parts trade, wholesale and retail, sourced against original part numbers rather than against a description.
Assembly, end of line and battery test equipment for buyers building or servicing capacity in their own market.
Certificate of conformity where the manufacturer issues one, CCC and export licence documentation, lithium battery transport papers, and the declarations customs will ask for at the destination.
| Item | Why it stops a shipment |
|---|---|
| Homologation route | Whether the destination accepts the vehicle type approval or demands individual approval |
| Charging standard | GB/T, CCS2, CCS1 or CHAdeMO; a mismatch makes the vehicle unusable on arrival |
| Grid and connector specification | Voltage, frequency and socket type for any charging equipment shipped alongside |
| Battery transport class | UN 38.3 test summary and dangerous goods declaration for the lithium battery |
| Duty and incentive status | Decides landed cost, and in several markets decides whether the deal works at all |
| Warranty and service route | Who honours the warranty in the destination country, agreed in writing before purchase |
We buy on your behalf and sell in our own name. Sourcing, negotiation, contracting and the commercial risk that comes with taking a position in the trade.
02The paperwork layer. Classification, licences, certificates and the export document set that your bank and your customs authority will actually accept.
03The work between placing an order and releasing it from the factory. Vetting, sampling, production follow up, inspection and consolidation.
04Booking, forwarding and delivery by sea, air, rail and road, including the overland corridors west out of China.
05Fabric, yarn and finished garments out of Keqiao. This is the one line where our address is also our argument.
07The categories we source to specification. The list is wide because the manufacturing belt around us is wide, but every category here is one we can inspect properly.
08This line runs in two directions. We supply kitchens and hospitality operators today, and we are building our own restaurant chain, beginning in Shanghai.
Send the specification, the quantity and the destination. You will get a considered answer, including an honest one if the product is not something we should be handling.
